HORSE HAIR POTTERY Individual glazed clay pots are fired to approximately 1000 degrees Fahrenheit in a small outdoor kiln...The pieces are then individually removed from the kiln with long metal tongs and placed on the ground at which point the horse hair is laid upon the red hot surface of the piece of pottery. The horse hair will then begin to crinkle up and smolder, producing black carbon smoke that is absorbed into the porous surface of the clay pot, directly under the individual strands of horse hair depending on which way the spiritual wind is blowing and where the moon is at will determine how each piece turns out.

EACH PIECE IS UNIQUE UNTO ITSELF THEREFORE IT CAN NOT BE DUPLICATED
